SIB Bursaries

Up to 100 SIB bursaries funded by the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB) are available to support participation of young scientists belonging to SIB in the 48th FEBS Congress. The bursaries will cover the early registration fee (€295).

Eligibility criteria and how to apply

SIB bursary applicants must:

  • be  registered to SIB as a Young Member
  • be under 35 at the call deadline
  • be the presenting author of a submitted abstract to the Congress. 

Applications for SIB bursaries must be made through the SIB website before the bursary deadline of February 1, 2024.

Assessment, notification and reimbursement

SIB bursaries will be awarded based on a merit ranking approved by the SIB Board of Directors. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by February 28, 2024. The bursary payment will be made after the event by SIB upon presentation of the certificate of attendance as a reimbursement of Congress registration fee (€295).
